Delete your data
Every Nomme account starts anonymous; signing in with Apple, Google or an email address is optional. Deleting an account removes it and everything attached to it.
In the app
This is the quickest way and needs nobody's help:
- Open Nomme.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Help & feedback, then Delete account and data.
- Confirm. It happens immediately.
By email
Write to dalstengroup@outlook.com from the device you use Nomme on, or from the address you signed in with. If the account is anonymous, the reply will explain how to prove the request comes from your app. There is no other way to identify an anonymous account, and deleting the wrong one on request would be worse than the delay.
Requests are answered within 30 days and normally much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your account, and the sign-in attached to it if you had one.
- Your display name and language, if set.
- Your notification tokens.
- Your swipes in every round.
- Your membership of the household, and your access to its meals and week plans.
- Anything you sent us through the app's feedback question.
When you are the last member
If nobody else is in your household, it goes with you: its name, preferences, meals, week plans, shopping lists and invite code.
One exception, and only for as long as it lasts: if the household still has a running Nomme+ subscription, an empty record of it is kept holding nothing but that subscription's status, so that a purchase can still be restored on another phone. Everything else — its name, its preferences, its meals and plans, who was in it and its invite code — is deleted straight away, and nobody can join it. Once the subscription is no longer running, the record is deleted too, within a day.
What is not deleted, and why
A household belongs to the people in it, not to one of them. When you leave, the household's own meals and shopping lists stay with whoever is still in it. Deleting them would delete another person's data.
Cancelling a subscription is done with Apple or Google, not here: deleting your account does not stop the store charging you.
Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports cannot be traced back to an individual account and are not deleted individually. They expire on their own within 14 months.
Uninstalling is not deleting
Removing the app stops this device being reachable, but the household stays, which is what you want if somebody else is still using it. Use the steps above if you mean to erase it.
An anonymous account nobody has opened for 60 days is deleted automatically, in the same way — unless its household still has a running subscription.
